  • Phil Spector’s father commits suicide in 1947 (The tombstone on his father’s grave says “To Know Him Is To Love Him”, inspires Spector to write the Teddy Bears song of that name)
  • Rick Nelson marries the pregnant Kris Harmon (sister of actor Mark Harmon) in 1963.  They separate and divorce two years later.
  • 2009, Gerry Marsden of Gerryy and the Pacemakers receives the “Freedom of Liverpool” award for services to charity and his hometown.
